Some people call it “empowering” women and girls. We call it “investing.”
That’s because each action you take to increase a woman’s access to equal opportunities in the workplace, a girl’s access to equal opportunities in the classroom, and steps you take to eliminate the scourge of gender-based violence benefits the community, country, and continent.
#Africa4Her is a Network-wide initiative to spur awareness and positive action around women’s issues.

2. Earn your YALI Network Online Course certificate for Understanding the Rights of Women and Girls .

3. Hold a #YALILearns event using Understanding the Rights of Women and Girls. Visit yali.state.gov/learns for helpful tips and resources for planning an event.
Teach The Course.
4. Take action and fulfill your #Africa4Her pledge and tell us about it.
You must complete all of these steps and report all actions by Friday, July 1 to receive the certificate. We will be in touch in the next few weeks with more details on how to report progress on your pledge.
